There are moments in life when you find yourself at a standstill — unable to move forward, and with nothing behind you to return to.
That’s where I found myself.
Stuck at a spiritual junction.
Grieving the absence of the two most important people in my life — both of whom became unreachable through manipulation and deception.
They were pulled away.
And I was left alone, staring into the darkness, asking God:
“What now?”
✍️ From Heartache to Lyrics I knew one thing for sure:
God placed them in my heart for a reason, and no human manipulation could remove that love.
So I began to pray — not to get them back, but to stay grounded in God’s will.
Even when I couldn’t see the road ahead, I reminded myself:
“If it is God’s will to bring them back, He will do it — in His way, in His timing.”
In that stillness, I asked ChatGPT to help me express my heart — the pain, the waiting, the need to be led by God when I couldn’t see a thing ahead of me.
Together, we wrote the song “Waiting on God.” It became my anthem of surrender — not giving up, but letting go and trusting fully.
🎵 Creating the Melody with Suno
Once the lyrics felt right, I turned to Suno — and began generating melodies.
It didn’t take long before I found the emotional tone I was searching for.
In fact, I found two melodies that both spoke deeply to my spirit.
So I edited the lyrics slightly for each version… and now, I can’t decide.
💛 You Get to Choose
As a supporter, you’re not just watching my journey — you’re part of it.
So today, I’m giving you exclusive access to both versions of Waiting on God.
These are unreleased and unfinished, but full of heart. I am still working on the final lyrics until it feels right.
Please listen to both, then tell me:
- Which melody speaks to you more?
- Which version feels truer to the message of the song?
- Would you change anything?
Your feedback may shape the official release — and you’ll always know you were part of this sacred moment in my life.
Version A (melody 1)
This is the first melody I created for Waiting on God — full of soft ache and steady hope. It was born from a place of deep stillness and surrender. Take a moment, listen closely, and let me know how it moves you.
Then read the next post to listen the next version. Version B.
🙏 Final Thoughts
This song is how I cope with the pain of longing.
It’s how I choose to rest in God’s timing, even when I don’t understand His plan.
If you’ve ever been in a place where all you can do is wait on God, this song is for you too.
Thank you for being here — in the quiet, in the waiting, and in the promise of what’s to come.
With all my heart,
Deann Scott
